About EHIS
The Eswatini Horticulture Information System (EHIS) is a web based Agricultural Marketing Information System focusing on the Horticulture Sub-Sector. The purpose of the platform is to record and make available all horticultural production and market information for farmers and all industry stakeholders. This information will help NAMBoard in implementing her mandate of maintaining a good balance between supply and demand for horticultural products. This will further benefit farmers since they will produce what is required by the market and their produce will always have a market. EHIS is an inter-agency platform to enhance food market transparency and policy response for food security. It was established by the National Marketing Board (NAMBOARD) in ESwatini. The aim of the platform is to collect, store and disseminate relevant agricultural information to promote transparency and visibility in all agricultural production under the Horticulture sector. To promote market led production approach amongst our local producers(farmers). It is a digital platform that provides key data on horticulture production processes and availability of crops to farmers, buyers, input suppliers, marketers, retailers, and researchers.
